DAY 1

Arrival at the Athens airport. Private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city and sample its diverse restaurants and nightlife. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 2

Transfer to the airport after breakfast. Flight to Heraklion, Crete. Arrive in Crete and transfer to your hotel. ( in Heraklion city).  Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Heraklion, the largest city of the island . Stroll around the center of Heraklion, walk to the Koules fortress enjoy a dinner by the sea.

DAY 3

Private day tour to Knossos and Phaistos . Visit the two most important Minoan palaces of Crete and explore the southern part of the island. Knossos is located very close to Heraklion, just 7 km to the south of the capital, but the palace of Phaistos is located in the south (65 km south of Heraklion), in the Mesara plain. After the guided tour of the two Minoan palaces you will have free time in Matala, which is  a small beach town. Overnight in Heraklion

DAY 4

Morning  guided tour of the museum of Heraklion, to visit the impressive Minoan collection of artifacts, impressive highlights that were discovered all over the island ( not only in the two palaces ) . This will give you an idea of the aesthetics and the level  of the Minoan civilization,  as well as the influence from the East. You will continue with a transfer to Rethymnon, where you will have a short city walking tour and you will end up on Chania at your hotel.  (Overnight in Chania)

DAY 5

Chania is the second largest city of Crete. Visit the Venetian Harbour, the old port, the narrow shopping streets and the impressive market with the local products, enjoy your dinner by the sea.. Overnight in Chania. We can also propose a half day tour, to the monastery of Tzangarolon, photo stop at Venizelos Graves and a walking guided tour of the old town of Chania . 

DAY 6

Free day to explore Chania or have a private wine tour in some of the best wineries of Crete or hike the Samaria gorge.  Overnight in Chania.

DAY 7

Enjoy a private transfer for a swim at Elafonisi, the beach in the south of Chania. Enjoy the amazing pink beach and on the way back taste local food at the village of Elos…Overnight stay in Chania

DAY 8

Private transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Athens.
