DAY 1
5 April- Sunday
Arrival on Crete – Transfer to Agios Nikolaos – settling to the hotel- the program starts on the 6th of April . Meeting at the hotel and welcome dinner at the city center of Agios Nikolaos – details of the program / questions to be answered.
DAY 2
6 April- Monday
Meeting at the hotel and after your breakfast, we will start the day program, visiting the archaeological site of Gournia, exploring Ierapetra ( stop for lunch) and return to Agios via the mountains. (breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included)
DAY 3
7 April-Tuesday
Visit of a byzantine church, taste local organic olive oil and visit a facility of production of cosmetics based on olive oil and local spices and herbs, a visit of the new reorganized archaeological museum of Agios Nikolaos is a must !! . ( breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included)
DAY 4
8 April- Wednesday
Visit of Elounda – Plaka and islet of Spinalonga .( breakfast – lunch and boat trip, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included)
DAY 5
9 April-Thursday
Mountainous eastern Crete – Ceramic workshop – monastery of Virgin Mary – Venetian Windmills (breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included)
DAY 6
10 April- Friday
Departing transfer – tour to Chania via Knossos palace ( guided tour ) and Heraklion ( visit of the museum of Heraklion city center ) , lunch in the city center at a local taverna – continue towards Rethymnon ( short stop for a coffee ) and reach Chania in the afternoon at the hotel . (breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included)
DAY 7
11 April- Saturday
Departing transfer – tour to Chania via Knossos palace ( guided tour ) and Heraklion ( visit of the museum of Heraklion city center ) , lunch in the city center at a local taverna –continue West and reach Chania in the afternoon at the hotel . (breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included). Walk to the city center for the Easter celebrations – traditional dinner late on Saturday.
DAY 8
12 April- Sunday
Late morning start - We will be transferred to a 5 star hotel in the area just out of the city of Chania for the traditions of the Easter , lamp on the spit and traditional dances . ( breakfast – lunch, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included). This is Eastern Sunday and most of the shops / businesses will be closed.
DAY 9
13 April- Monday
Explore the area around Chania – Venizelos Graves for a photo stop and WWII cemetery and Rethymnon for a walking tour in the old town . ( breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included). The Eastern Monday most of the businesses will be closed as well – we will adjust the program accordingly to see as much as possible.
DAY 10
14 April- Tuesday
Culinary lesson and tasting of local products ( breakfast – lunch and coffee stop, entrance tickets, transportation – guiding services of a professional licensed English speaking guide – archaeologist included)
DAY 11
15 April- Wednesday
Cruise 4 h from the port of Chania (weather permitting – if this will not be possible the tour will be replaced with a tour on the western part of Crete ). Enjoy a cruise from the port of Chania to the near by islet and of course the picturesque Chania Venetian port and lighthouse from the sea.
DAY 12
16 April- Thursday
Free day for leisure . Breakfast included – free program to relax.
DAY 13
17 April- Friday
Departure transfer to the airport.
12 days full program with minimum participants 3 and maximum participants 7. More guests can participate upon request.

If any site ( for any reason ) will be closed – we will alter the program accordingly to add another site of similar importance and interest.
